Seminar: Delivering Real Time Monitoring of Industrial Machines using AWS IoT Services - Mar. 5

Stephan Gerali

Stephan Gerali
Chief Architect / Engineer – Lockheed Martin Fellow, Lockheed Martin
Friday, March 5 | 12:30 P.M. | Zoom Webinar - Preregistration Required

Abstract: Learn how Lockheed Martin Space teamed up with AWS to deliver an integrated IoT solution for IoT data capture, IoT data transformation, IoT data storage, IoT data analytics and IoT data visualization for real time monitoring of industrial machines used in the manufacturing process.

The session will cover the following technologies in the deployment of a full IoT solution to include: Kepware ServerEX for connectivity to industrial protocols, AWS IoT Core for IoT data processing, Amazon S3 for scalable storage of IoT data, MTConnect for a common data model for industrial machine telemetry data, Amazon EMR for interactive analytics on IoT data, Tableau for visualization of IoT data and SIAT for automated anomaly detection for industrial telemetry data.

The session will provide the following key takeaways:

  1. Analyze the business case for real time monitoring of industrial equipment to reduce operational costs and reduce touch labor expenses.
  2. Learn how to connect edge devices using a multitude of connection methods to enable digital threads using the AWS environment.
  3. Learn how to leverage multiple vendor technologies (i.e. Kepware ServerEX, AWS IoT Core, Amazon S3, MTConnect, Amazon EMR, Tableau and SIAT) to enable an integrated IoT solution.
  4. Provide lessons learned in the development of Lockheed Martin’s IoT solution.
  5. Describe the business value for real time monitoring of industrial machines.
  6. Discuss the future roadmap for AWS IoT Services (i.e. AWS IoT Greengrass, AWS IoT Analytics, Amazon Athena and Amazon QuickSight) for AWS GovCloud.
