Degree Specializations
We offer students two degree specializations to refine and develop their academic path.
Statistics and data science specialization
This track offers students with a foundation in mathematics the opportunity to develop and advance their interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in statistics, data science and computing at the heart of the big data revolution. Graduates will come away prepared to lead a science team and collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to ensure the success of intricate and complex projects.
Customized specialization
Students may customize a track to best fit their personal and professional goals. Students have the flexibility to tailor the program to meet their needs, or choose to focus on an area in which our leading faculty are experts, including mathematical biology, financial mathematics and computational mathematics, just to name a few.
