Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski, President of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, will be giving a talk about creating an environment that supports the success of minority students as part of the. Hrabowski has focused his career on science and math education, with emphasis on minority participation and performance.

Hrabowski was recently named by President Obama to chair the new President’s Advisory Commission on Education Excellence for African Americans. The University of Maryland, Baltimore County has been recognized as a model for academic innovation and inclusive excellence under his leadership.

His talk “Changing the Culture of Science to Support Minority Success” will take place May 30 at Noon, in the Butcher Auditorium at the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building on CU-Boulder’s East Campus.
