Costs for Incoming Undergraduate Students - Fall 2024 and Spring 2025

We know college is an investment, which is why we want to help you understand the cost of college, as well as the value of a degree. We believe all students should enter college knowing the cost of a degree. The CU Boulder Undergraduate Tuition Guarantee offers predictability and transparency of tuition costs for four years from your first term of enrollment. Differences in tuition tiers below reflect differences in the cost of instruction.

The full cost of attendance for an academic year could include expenses such as on-campus housing and food, books and supplies, and items that are not billed by the university, such as personal expenses, transportation and medical insurance. 3 This rate for on-campus housing and food is based on a residence hall standard double room (roommate(s) and community bath) and 19 meals per week. The housing and food allowance determined by the Office of Financial Aid and the Colorado Department of Higher Education is $8,897, which is based on an average of rates for a CU Boulder residence hall room and 19 meals plus an extra weekly food allowance. Your actual housing and food cost on campus may be more or less depending on your selections. Please see more housing options.
4  Tier 3 tuition applies to students participating in the CU/Western Colorado University partnership or the CU/Mesa University partnership. Fees vary. Please see the appropriate partnership page for more details.
