“Global Networks for Asian Studies” features leaders from global Asian Studies institutions in dialogue on crucial issues in the field of Asian Studies. Moderated by AAS Past President Christine Yano, the online roundtable addresses concerns regarding global inequities, support for young scholars, and future directions in Asian Studies. Roundtable participants will discuss the shape of Asian Studies in diverse regions and seek ways to collaborate in addressing global inequities and contributing to a vibrant future for Asian Studies. Panelists will discuss a core set of questions and concerns posed prior to the live roundtable. Following discussion among the panelists, we will open the floor to audience questions. The Digital Dialogue is free and open to all who register for the event. Following the live roundtable, the video will be available on the AAS website and Vimeo channel for public viewing. The goal of this webinar is to support dialogue among Asian Studies professionals across the globe and to encourage collaboration, understanding, and mutual support.
