Lecture: University of Louisville (KY) Center for Asian Democracy Annual Lecture Series: Prof. Sheila Coronel

CAD will be hosting an event this week on Thursday, October 27th, that I thought would interest other Asian Centers.

The title is Democracy, Disinformation and the Struggle for Historical Memory.  It will be delivered by Sheila Coronel, one of the leading investigative journalists in the Philippines and former winner of the Magsaysay Prize. She’s done significant work over the years on human rights reporting and we are very excited to have her come to Louisville.

More information is below/attached. Feel free to circulate this to students, colleagues, or other networks that might be interested.

There will be a virtual attendance option through Zoom, so you can publicize it to those who are outside of Louisville who might be interested.
To get access to the virtual steaming platform, people will need to RSVP. For those attending in person, there will be a reception after to raise a glass with our speaker.
