Résumé and Curriculum Vitae

Résumés and Cirriculum Vitae (CV) are crucial documents in job applications as they demonstrate experiences, projects, and/or skills that you have that may be of value to a potential employer. Typically, résumés are short, 1-page documents that can summarize work, performance, or teaching experience. CVs tend to consist of 3-8 pages and are often used when applying for academic positions. Below is a curated list of resources when developing various types of résumés and CVs. The best time to start creating a résumé or CV is now, even before you start applying for jobs. Begin a list of skills, work, or project experience and several short descriptor sentences with active verbs for each entry.
