Marina DmukhovskayaÌýis a sports reporter, teaching assistant professor of journalism and director of CMCI’s sports media minor program. Since 2014, Marina has been covering the Olympics, unveiling athletes’ stories at Sochi, PyeongChang, Tokyo and Beijing for the International Paralympic Committee, International Biathlon Union and the Olympic Channel. Prior to joining CU Boulder, she taught at Moscow State University of International Relations, the University of Oregon and Indiana University.​
In the summer of 2019, she crossed the longest railroad in the world, the Trans-Siberian, from Moscow to Vladivostok to get a different perspective on storytelling outside sports. The journey turned into a trilingual project and podcast () about the lives of people in the 91ÖÆƬ³§n Federation.Ìý​
In 2023, she became a communications/advocacy trainer for the Sports for Humanity campaign run by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. She developed and executed capacity-building training for 10 NGOs in sports across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Marina has a PhD (cum laude) in journalism and communication from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and an MA in East Asian studies from Indiana University. She received her BA in international relations from Moscow University of International Relations.
