Alma
Alma
The Alma program is an evidence-based, peer-to-peer mentoring program created with and for new and expectant parents who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and stress. Developed by a collaborative team of English- and Spanish-speaking researchers, mental health providers, community members, and parents, the Alma program gives new and expectant parents the support and skills they need to navigate this important chapter in their lives. The Alma program is based on behavioral activation, a psychotherapy with over twenty years of evidence from treatment studies conducted all over the world. Currently, there are three active Alma research projects in the State of Colorado meeting the needs of English- and Spanish-speaking families in both rural and urban settings.
PROSPER seeks to revolutionize the approach of frontline healthcare providers to perinatal mental health and substance use conditions.
