Giving Tuesday: CU Engineering Edition
Every May, nearly 1,000 engineering Buffs graduate. Every October, thousands of Buffs come back to campus for Homecoming. And this November, we’re asking the Forever Buff family to give back for Giving Tuesday.
We’re excited to join the global movement that is , an initiative that follows the consumerist-driven, post-Thanksgiving craze of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This Tuesday is about Buffs supporting Buffs. We’re focusing on funds that provide support for CU Engineering students as well as the faculty and programs in our college.
From research to student and faculty support, charitable contributions elevate CU Engineering. What matters most to you? We’ll be in the Engineering Center Lobby today asking engineering Buffs to answer one question: “If I had $500 to give to the College of Engineering and Applied Science, I would give to…”
Will it be scholarships that support undergraduate students? Or perhaps a program in the college, like the BOLD Center? Will it be your department? At the end of the day, we’ll be awarding $500 to a randomly chosen student suggestion. Come see us in the Engineering Center Lobby from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enter the drawing.
Why give? This year, the College of Engineering and Applied Science awarded $4.3 million in scholarships to 1,751 students. Read more about why alumni Celeste and Nico Cizik decided to focus their giving on CU Engineering scholarships.
Be inspiring. Be innovative. Be generous. Be Boulder, and give to CU Engineering on #GivingTuesday, Nov. 28.
