Tory Bruno of United Launch Alliance to visit CU Boulder

Tory Bruno, president and CEO of , will host a seminar about ULA’s vision for a self-sustaining space economy and transforming the future of space launch during a visit to campus March 20.
 
Bruno, a graduate of Cal Poly, took the helm at Centennial-based United Launch Alliance in August 2014. ULA has more than six decades of launch heritage and is the nation’s most reliable launch services provider, successfully launching 126 successful missions since the company was founded in 2006.
 
CU Boulder has launched six CubeSat missions with ULA, including the in 2015 that deployed to the International Space Station en route to a 12-month orbital mission to study the sun’s X-rays.
 
During his visit, Bruno will meet with campus administrators, visit the new aerospace engineering building site, tour CU Engineering’s small satellite labs and the Colorado Space Grant Consortium, and meet Smead Scholars and AIAA chapter members.
 
He’ll also give a student seminar about his career experiences, followed by a meet-and-greet reception. The seminar begins at 2 p.m. MDT in ECCR 245 and is open to all (first come, first served). The seminar also will be livestreamed on Facebook at .
