Did you know you can earn a CU Boulder engineering degree on the other side of Colorado?
Through partnerships with in Gunnison and in Grand Junction, students can graduate from CU Boulder’s College of Engineering and Applied Science while enjoying a different flavor of Colorado—but with the same high-quality experience of Boulder Engineering.
Maybe you missed the Boulder application deadline or decided CU was too far from home. Maybe you didn’t get the news you wanted from admissions this winter, or maybe you prefer the lifestyle in western Colorado to the Denver skyline or intricacies of Boulder's Pearl Street.
Whatever the reason, I’m here to tell you that you can still become an engineer—a great engineer. In fact, you can still become a CU Boulder engineer. Best of all, you can still apply for admission this fall to two great programs on the Western Slope of Colorado.
The CMU and WCU programs operate under a similar structure. You’ll take your first two years of courses with faculty at your home university, then complete your degree with CU Boulder faculty who live permanently in Grand Junction or Gunnison. You’ll be eligible for scholarships from each institution, including full-tuition scholarships based on academic eligibility at Western Colorado University.
As a student in either partnership program, you can expect hands-on engineering projects starting your first year and personalized attention from faculty members who care. When you graduate with a prestigious CU Boulder degree—ranked No. 17 in the nation among public universities—you’ll join a network of more than 40,000 alumni and dozens of industry partners who can help you make the leap into a fulfilling and profitable career.
