Spruce bark beetle outbreaks hurt squirrel populations
Bryan Hankinson, a fall 2014 CU-Boulder student who graduated magna cum laude in Geography, developed his honors thesis by investigating the relationship between an increase in spruce bark beetle population and a decrease in American red squirrel population.
