As we approach the middle of the semester, many of us may be experiencing high levels of stress. Spring break can provide us with a chance to practice self-care, find some relief and focus on ourselves. This may look different for everyone, whether you’re planning to spend time with family, take a trip or stay close to home. No matter what your plans are, here are some ways to take care of yourself and find your break.

While many of us have cultivated new relationships on campus, maintaining those relationships can present new challenges. These relationships can vary from person to person (think friends, partners, family members, boss, coworkers, etc.), but healthy relationships all share a few core traits. 

Participating in regular movement (i.e. physical activity or exercise) has proven benefits for both our minds and bodies. Here are some tools to help move your body in a safe and healthy way.

Making friends as an adult can be challenging.It’s important to remember that the way we connect with people and make friends may feel different now than it did before the pandemic started. 

For many of us, college represents a major step toward adulthood. As we grapple with change, we may find ourselves taking on additional risk in order to cope with increased academic, social, emotional and financial pressures. Knowing how to take care of ourselves and look out for each other can make all the difference in creating a positive college experience for everyone.

Peer Wellness Coaching (PWC) is a free service available to CU Boulder students to help students set and achieve their wellness goals.

Let's Talk

Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) provides free drop-in services through Let’s Talk. Counselors are available in person and online to help provide insight, solutions and information about additional resources related to academics, stress, anxiety, substance use, relationships and more.

CAPS Workshops and Resources

CAPS is offering telehealth workshops to support students in developing coping skills to manage stress, anxiety, and painful emotions. These live telehealth workshops afford you the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the presenter.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is one of the oldest systems of medicine dating back 4,000 years. Acupuncture works by using tiny needles to stimulate the body’s innate healing mechanism for improved health and well-being.
