Lighting for CU Students
The Lighting Program offers both undergraduate and graduate level courses in illumination engineering. These courses are taught through Architectural Engineering (AREN). The regular course offerings are described below.
The ENVD Certificate Program is offered to undergraduate students pursuing non-engineering degrees to help them prepare for entry-level jobs in lighting design firms. Combining lighting design with architecture, landscape architecture, or design studies could also open doors in architecture and interior design firms.
The CU Illuminating Engineering Society Chapter is a community committed to inspiring those interested in lighting by providing tools for career success and building a shared knowledge base, while promoting engagement with industry professionals and each other.
Our Faculty has a wealth of experience in the lighting industry and in academia.
