The new grade-change workflow experience went live on Thursday, Oct. 19! Grade-change workflow is the process instructors (or those identified as a proxy) can use to change submitted grades for students on their respective grade rosters. Changes in the new to grade-change workflow experience include:

• Enhanced tracking where requests are in progress
• More robust communications
• Shorter processing window once grade-change requests are approved (from 4 hours to 2 hours)
• Ability to submit a grade-change request for discontinued students who are otherwise eligible (previously required a paper COR)
• Prevention of submission for students who have graduated
• Updated documentation is forthcoming!

Grade-change requests that were submitted prior to the new process going live should still be managed in the former process (primarily in portal). The former grade-change workflow process will remain available until Thursday, Nov. 9 so please be sure to complete any in-progress grade change requests by this date. In-progress requests will not be migrated to the new process and must be completed during this window. All grade-change requests submitted after go-live will be managed in the new workflow process (primarily OnBase and Campus Solutions).

The Fall 2022 grade replacement process begins today with an evaluation of students’ enrollment to determine eligibility. All students who are enrolled in an eligible class will be notified via email and see a notation on the Your Classes card in Buff Portal.

Reminder: Effective Spring 2022, grade replacement is applied automatically at the end of each term for eligible courses and students.

Before grade replacement is applied to a student’s record at the end of the semester, advisors and other student support staff can view a student’s grade replacement eligibility in Campus Solutions on the 3C Summary tab in Student Center Admin View. This is a change from previous terms, where the BOPT code on the Enrollment page indicated a student had been approved for grade replacement. 

Eligibility will be evaluated several more times during the Fall 2022 semester on the following dates:

• 8/24/22
• 9/1/22
• 9/6/22
• 9/12/22
• 11/28/22
• 12/21/22 (end of term processing)
• 1/3/23 (follow-up end of term processing)
• 1/10/23 (follow-up end of term processing)

If a student’s enrolled class is initially evaluated as eligible, but then becomes ineligible, the student will be notified of this change. 

A student may opt out of grade replacement evaluation for a class by emailing registrar@colorado.edu by the last day of the semester.

CU-SIS Campus Solutions' modernized navigation begins Oct. 24. Become familiar with the new features before they launch by visiting .

In addition to increasing usability and accessibility, Campus Solutions users shared a desire for more personalization. Customizing your favorites lets you organize your own way!

Highlights:

• Find My Favorites by clicking the NavBar in the upper right corner of any page.
• The My Favorites icon allows you to edit, view and reorder any saved favorites.
• Already have saved favorites? Perfect. They will still be there in the new system.
• Add a new favorite to the My Favorites list by clicking the Actions menu (three vertical dots) and clicking Add to Favorites when you are on the desired page.

CU-SIS Campus Solutions will debut new modernized navigation on the evening of Oct. 24. 

You'll be able to navigate the system using tiles, similar to how you use your employee portal. The navigation collections allow you to move without relying on breadcrumbs or the back button.  

Explore and become familiar with the new design by visiting the . Sample pages from Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Records and more are available to preview the layout of the new system. When you click on the interactive parts of an image, you can learn how to add a tile to your Favorites and how to access the NavBar, which gives you access to Recent Places, Favorites and Navigator.

Based on feedback from administrative users on all four CU campuses, UIS has modernized the navigation, including a responsive design that adapts the layout on mobile devices. Similar to the tile layout in your employee portal, the new navigation system provides better usability, accessibility, mobile-friendly use, personalization and more.

We've created several resources to help prepare you for the transition well in advance. Explore the new design and learn more about the upgrade at .

Good to know:

• Pages you currently use will still operate the same way; only the navigation is changing.
• Rather than relying on breadcrumbs or the back button, you’ll navigate the system using tiles and collections.
• You can personalize your homepage by moving tiles where you want them or customizing your homepage with just the tiles you use most. 
• Any favorites currently saved in Campus Solutions will transfer when the system is updated.
