Ozone and Antarctica
WHO: University of Colorado at Boulder Science Discovery Program, 1999-2000 Science Explorers.
WHAT: Science Explorers, presented by CU-BoulderÂ’s Science Discovery Program, is a day of hands-on science workshops for teams of one teacher and five students from grades five through eight, which offers teachers the opportunity to experience new science curriculum in action. Students and teachers will be involved in three workshops where they will find a lost researcher in a simulated Antarctic whiteout, measure ground level ozone and discover different materialsÂ’ ability to block UV rays, presenting plenty of photo opportunities. The workshop is not open to the public.
