The Colorado Buffaloes will host UCLA at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 for a game to be nationally televised on FS1.
CU Boulder has now hosted several weeknight games, and is more familiar with the impacts and the opportunities. Campus leadership has been planning for this evening game since it was announced, and are pleased to have been able to once again set the kickoff time at 7 p.m. to help minimize academic impacts.
While minimal disruptions outside of those usually associated with gameday activities are anticipated, members of the campus community should review your main campus plans for the day and be prepared well in advance.
There are no plans for early release of staff, and all affected buildings have been notified. The Office of the Provost has been working with classes and research conducted in the stadium security footprint. If you are aware of a scheduling issue in your area of responsibility that has not already been addressed, please contact the Provost’s office directly, at vcaa@colorado.edu.
The campus community is encouraged to use alternative transportation rather than drive to campus on gameday. Several main campus parking lots will be closed beginning at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 until approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3.
Traffic set-up will prohibit all RTD bus service through main campus beginning at 3 p.m. Internal bus stops will be inaccessible to RTD routes during this time; these routes will be detoured to pick-up at stops along Broadway, Baseline, Arapahoe, and 28th Street. Additional information about the parking and transportation changes will be shared via email and detailed on a website hosted by CU-Boulder Parking and Transportation services closer to the date of the game.
Those attending the game are urged to arrive at least one hour prior to kick off to avoid last-minute lines and to enjoyĚýĚýthe Golden Buffalo Marching Band and the running of Ralphie.
