The purpose of IMPART is to further develop a campus environment that supports and encourages gender, ethnic and cultural diversity in the university's approaches to scholarly work and teaching andpromotes inclusive excellence.
In particular, the committee seeks proposals thatsupport departmental inclusive excellence goals as presented in the inclusive excellence narratives and plans. Proposals that support faculty (especially assistant professors) initiating new research and scholarly programs, as well as expanding undergraduate curriculum in the areas of ethnic and gender diversity, are encouraged.
Student participation in projects is strongly encouraged, as well.
