Twice in the last three years, some of CU Boulder’s most accomplished musicians have had the opportunity to take the stage at world-renowned Carnegie Hall.
Most recently, a group of 11 College of Music alumni, faculty and students traveled to New York in November to showcase their talents and gain invaluable experience in one of the most celebrated music venues in the world.
Before performing, alumna Alicia Baker talked about the importance of the opportunity, saying, “I am thrilled to be going to New York to play. For any musician or actress aspiring as they grow up, that’s kind of the known dream. And to represent CU Boulder is really exciting.â€
The second-ever CU at Carnegie showcase concert was the culmination of months of work.
It was my first time ever playing at Carnegie Hall. It happened to be a piece I’m very passionate about and really love playing. Thank you, CU, for this wonderful opportunity. It’s been a blast.†–Alicia Baker
