This week brings a screening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the CU Philharmonia Orchestra, a pop-up craft station, “sit” volleyball, self-care and gratitude tips, a workshop about “building comfort in being uncomfortable” and more.

Monday, Feb. 13

   2 p.m.    Imig Music, Grusin Music Hall
The Philharmonia Orchestra is celebrating brilliant composers. This free event features works from Wolfgang Mozart, Viola Kinney and more. 

   3:30–5:30 p.m.    Koelbel Building, Leeds, Olson Atrium
Are you planning a career in the marketing industry? Leeds School of Business is hosting an industry fair for marketing and sales.


Tuesday, Feb. 14

   11 a.m.–2 p.m.    Norlin east entrance 
Enjoy a pop-up craft station in honor of Valentine’s Day. This event includes chocolate, card making and conversation. 

   5–7 p.m.    UMC 330
Create a gift for a loved one. This week’s crafts include mug painting and card making. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon. 


Wednesday, Feb. 15

   2–4 p.m.    Engineering Center lobby
Staying focused on negativity can weigh you down. This Wellness Wednesday workshop can help redirect your mindset. You will have the opportunity to add three good things to the gratitude banner and get some health promotion swag.

This year’s Inclusive Sports Summit theme is legacy. The main idea is about honoring the past and creating the future of sports and recreation. 


Thursday, Feb. 16

Third Thursday discusses uncomfortable but necessary topics. This Thursday participants will address the rise in anti-Semitism over the past several years. Participants will reflect on their own experiences, beliefs and biases during this conversation. 

   1–3 p.m.    Norlin east entrance 
Are you doing any self-care this weekend? Sometimes people forget to put time aside for themselves. This talk will leave you with helpful tips for self-care methods.


Friday, Feb. 17

   5–7 p.m.    Rec Center, lower court
Enjoy a new form of volleyball, “sit” volleyball. This game is similar to volleyball, but with a new take on the sport. 

   8 p.m.    CHEM 140
Join Program Council for popcorn and a free screening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In this film, Wakandans will fight to protect their home after the death of King T'Challa.
