Monday, Oct. 14

Join us for a weeklong celebration and showcase of research, scholarship and creative works at CU Boulder. The sixth annual Research & Innovation Week is designed to elevate awareness of research activity across campus, build a sense of shared community, create opportunities for collaboration and recognize exceptional leadership and outcomes. Get involved!

Join the second annual Disability Symposium. Get session information and register to attend (registration is required for Zoom access). In-person sessions will be held in the Jessor Building (formerly the Institute of Behavioral Science building).

CU Boulder students, staff and faculty and members of the Boulder community are invited to participate in a community celebration and observance of Indigenous Peoples Day. This session will feature keynote addresses centered around the plenary theme, "Indigenous Peoples Day Reframed: Toward an Intersectional, Decolonial and Transnational Vision for Indigenous Sovereignty."

Attend this workshop to learn about interviewing. We’ll cover the different types of interviews, common questions, how to use the START method and resources you can use to ace your next job or internship interview.

Politics & Pizza allows CU students to sink their minds into key, specific political issues while they are sinking their teeth into delicious pizza! Faculty experts get the discussion started, then open the session to a discussion between the students and one another and the students and the experts.


Tuesday, Oct. 15

The Anderson Language and Technology Center (ALTEC) announces the first annual World Languages Showcase at CU Boulder. Organized in collaboration with CU’s outstanding world languages departments and units, the showcase invites participants to immerse themselves in a diverse array of languages and cultures.

What can you do to prevent getting sick during cold and flu season? Stop by the Village Resource Center to learn about illness prevention strategies and grab some cold care supplies.

Step into an evening with the Center for Student Involvement and VOGUE for joy, unity and empowerment as we honor LGBT History Month through an unforgettable Kiki session! This event is a celebration of the resilience, creativity and strength of the LGBTQ+ community. 


Wednesday, Oct. 16

Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to immerse yourself in a new experience—building relationships, exchanging cultures and knowledge, and helping transform lives for generations. Come learn more about volunteering and how to gain skills and experience that will help you qualify for Peace Corps service.

Students, staff and faculty are invited to join in two 45-minute consecutive workshops that explore the following topics: Native and Indigenous-led land back and language back social justice movements. Discussion will also focus on themes of reciprocity, relevance, recovery and reclamation.

Make your own slime, aromatherapy roll-on and stress balls as part of our monthly Stress Less event. Snacks and supplies included.

Have you heard about the ghost of Cockerell Hall or the spirits that wander the Boulderado Hotel? Ride along with us to some of Boulder's spookiest places. We'll have bike lights to give out to attendants. Dress warmly and be ready for a chilly and spooky evening! Event open to CU students and others.

The Sand Creek Massacre Foundation and CU Boulder's Center of the American West present an evening with renowned Cheyenne educator and advocate Henrietta Mann. A descendant from survivors of the Sand Creek Massacre, Mann will reflect on the lasting effects of that day on Nov. 29, 1864. She will share ideas for how best to educate young people and the general public about this dark history, as well as discuss current efforts to acknowledge the massacre. Join to listen, reflect and discuss how we collectively reckon with the past in the present and for generations to come.

  • Get your flu shot. Stop by the free clinic Oct. 15, 1–4 p.m. or Oct. 16, 8:30–11:30 a.m., at Boettcher Hall in Wolf Law.

Thursday, Oct. 17

Developed and hosted in Boulder since 2018, UROP's Sidewalk Symposium invites undergraduates to create and share their research and creative presentations with chalk on campus walkways—all in collaboration with a professional artist! Stop by the VAC plaza.

Join us to learn more about cooking and nutrition with the Basic Needs Center! Dinner will be provided. All first-generation students are welcome. 

  8–10 p.m.    ​Rec Center, Buff Pool
Celebrate the closing day of Buff Pool with us at our Halloween movie night! The Rec will provide heaters around the pool and hot cocoa for a cozy and enjoyable evening under the stars. Don't miss out!

    Young designers. Creative genius. Inspiring fashions. The CU Museum of Natural History will once again be decked out with a special collection of original garments, designed and constructed by local artists, grades 6–12.
