Arts & Sciences faculty OK core curriculum overhaul

Faculty members in the College of Arts and Sciences have voted to revise the college’s core curriculum for the first time since 1988, a faculty committee announced Tuesday. The move will improve the educational experience for undergraduates in the college, proponents say.

Two undergrads score prestigious astronaut scholarship

Matthew Winchester and Matthew Hurst are among a handful of national scholarship recipients selected for 2016 by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. Typically, the organization choses only one winner per university, but in CU Boulder's case, ASF has chosen two per year since 2015, according to the campus Top Scholarships office.

Elizabeth Koebele, a doctoral candidate in the Environmental Studies Program, was one of only 19 award winners from 535 applications for the Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy grant.
