The ceremony will be preceded by two programs earlier in the day, hosted in collaboration with Family Weekend.

Professor receives grant to showcase physics education research in Brazil

Noah Finkelstein, who co-directs the Center for STEM Learning at CU Boulder and is a principal investigator for the Physics Education Research group, plans to showcase CU Boulder research at Brazilian universities in November after being awarded a grant from a prestigious lectureship program for physicists.

The city of Boulder and the county are working on an update of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan, which guides development in the valley. Part of that may include a proposal to annex a 308-acre parcel of land south of the city that could support the university’s long-term growth needs. On Monday, city and county officials will host an open house to give the community a chance to learn more about the plan update and to provide input.
