Be Boulder Anywhere merges with the Graduate School

BBA has been responsible for developing and promoting new professional master’s degrees at CU Boulder for both on-campus and distance students. These services will now be expanded to all graduate education. With this move, the Graduate School will also be responsible for developing CU Boulder’s Massive Open Online Courses, known as MOOCs.

Braun named new dean of engineering and applied science

July 21, 2016

Provost Moore today announced Bobby Braun as the new dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Braun, who helped lead the team that put the first rover on Mars, is a professor of space technology at Georgia Tech. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and formerly worked at NASA Langley Research Center for 16 years. He'll arrive on campus to join the faculty in October 2016. His role as dean will begin in January 2017.

University of Colorado Boulder Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, Terri Fiez, has announced that Patricia Rankin will step down as Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Research to return to the faculty on Aug. 15, 2016. As Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, Rankin was a key contributor to many of the transformations that have occurred in the Boulder campus’s research support operations.

The recipients and their destination countries are: Christine Avena, Switzerland; Evan Coles-Harris, China; Ben Lourie, 91ÖĆƬł§; Elaine Proulx, Mexico; and Xi Wang, China.

Five University of Colorado Boulder graduate students or alumni have been offered Fulbright grants to pursue teaching, research and graduate studies abroad during the 2016-17 academic year. In addition, one CU Boulder graduate has been named an alternate. Candidates with alternate status are offered awards if additional funding becomes available through the Fulbright program.
