Renowned culinary and cultural historian Michael Twitty will speak at CU-Boulder on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. During the event, which is presented by the Cultural Events Board and is free and open to the public, Twitty will discuss the ties between food, culture and freedom. Tickets will be available at the door.

Wozniakā€™s talk doubles as the keynote presentation for the 68 th Conference on World Affairs to be held April 4 to 8.

Shakespearean space musical 'Return to the Forbidden Planet' to run March 4-13

The madcap jukebox musical ā€œReturn to the Forbidden Planet,ā€ set in a rock ā€˜nā€™ roll Shakespearean spaceship, comes to University Theatre this March. Associate Professor Cecilia Pang directs the production, which promises nonstop laughs, infectious tunes and a generous nod to the Bard.

The summit will focus on ā€œGoing Beyond II: Deepening the Dialogueā€ and will emphasize intergroup dialogues, caucuses hosted by the Chancellorā€™s Advisory Committees on issues relevant to campus, contemporary teach-ins, and inclusive excellence facilitations. The goal of the Spring Summit is to begin to have dialogues for achieving continuous social change.

Lunar New Year, Mardi Gras, and Valentine's Day fall within a few days of each other this year. The CU Art Museum is adding another reason to celebrate with the opening of three new exhibitions this Friday, Feb. 12. The opening festivities will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at the CU Art Museum, located in the Visual Arts Complex. Admission is free. The evening will include a variety of performances and activity stations, along with the opening of three new exhibits.
