BioServe Space Technologies
At BioServe Space Technologies, we design and build life science research and hardware for experiments in space microgravity environments. We partner with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as well as universities and NASA funded researchers to conduct unique research that cannot be performed on Earth. Our award-winning team works regularly and in real-time with astronauts conducting research on board the International Space Station to assist their efforts and develop new ways to improve life in space.
As a center of the Ann & H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences, a key part of our mission is educating and training undergraduate and graduate students to pursue careers in aerospace engineering, bioengineering, space life sciences, and business, especially as it relates to space endeavors and the goals of our partners. Students work directly with our scientists and engineers and can enroll in campus bioastronautics courses taught by aerospace faculty.
