The University ofÌýColorado utilizes a variety of energy monitoring tools, processes, and programs to provide insights into energy consumption trends, predict future usage, and identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost reduction.

Below is a list of energy dashboards created by the Energy Services Organization (ESO) to monitor and track energy performance across the CU Boulder campus.

For more information about these dashboards or CU Boulder’s energy efficiency initiatives, please contact energy manager Ellen Edwards at ellen.edwards@colorado.edu

Utility & Energy Services - Dashboards

This dashboard shows Energy Use Intensity (EUI) per building function and year. Click in to see building level energy usage and track energy efficiency progress.

This dashboard showcases total water consumption by campus. Click in to see campus-level water data and learn about CU Boulder’s ongoing water conservation efforts.

This dashboard shows the Solar PV production (kWh) on campus as well as general information regarding each solar array on campus.

This dashboard details campus source energy use (MMBTU). Click in to see the yearly total energy use by commodity type as well as campus growth (SQ-FT) over time.

This dashboard shows CU Boulder's Scope 1 & 2 greenhouse gas emissions (MTCO2e). Click in to see yearly total emissions by emissions category as well as campus growth (SQ-FT) over time.

This link takes you to the Climate Action Plan (CAP) website. The website includes the Climate Action Plan document and its respective dashboard that were published in 2024. The dashboard details the campus Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions for Scopes 1, 2, and 3 with a baseline year of 2019.
