Filmmaker and researcher Jean-Jacques Martinod, and recipient of the Martha J. Manier Travel Grant for Arts and Humanities Research in Latin America, will give a talk on his filmmaking practice surrounding Interstitial Cinematics and its relationship to his research conducted during the summer of 2024 at the Cementerio General de Guayaquil, Ecuador. Martinod is currently working on a multimodal film project as part of his PhD in Emergent Technologies and Media Arts Practices. He will be sharing early work-in-progress images and discuss his in-progress research-creation.Ìý
