Unified Sports

The CU Boulder Intramural (IM) Sports program has partnered with Special Olympics Colorado to promote social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences. The Unified Sports program at CU Boulder joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. All that is required to participate in the Unified Sports program is an active Buff OneCard.

At present, IM runs a unified flag football league in the fall and a basketball league in the spring. The basketball league begins on Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. and continues every Sunday at 2 p.m.

If you have any questions or are interested in getting involved, please contact imsports@colorado.edu.

Each intramural sport has its own set of rules and regulations that must be followed by participants. These rules establish the number of players involved, the makeup of the team's roster, how games are won and lost and the code of conduct for participants.
