Concerned about a student?

Mission

Student Support & Case Management (SSCM) assists students to reduce the adverse impact of challenging situations through connection with campus partners, community resources and support systems, encouraging success through individualized planning.

What we do

SSCM听provides individualized support for students throughout their college career. SSCM takes a holistic, non-clinical case management approach to help students address a myriad of needs or personal life events that may impact their educational career. A case manager supports a student facilitating听connections and navigating听the resources and services available to them whether on campus or in the community. Our office assists students鈥 mental health, emotional wellbeing听and safety by providing outreach, resources听and referrals.

What is Case Management?

Case management is a solution-focused approach to assisting students with a wide variety of needs. SSCM is not counseling or therapy; rather, our case managers have the opportunity to develop close helping relationships with students while coaching them toward appropriate self-care and self-advocacy. Families, faculty, staff听and other community members can be assured when a student is referred to SSCM that we attempt to assist in supporting each student with individualized care and attention.
