New and returning students moving into the University of Colorado Boulder residence halls can choose which day to move in Aug. 18-21, will swipe Buff OneCards instead of filling out a form to check in and will be able to take advantage of “Quick Drop Stations.” “We take pride in doing our best to provide a warm welcome and a helping hand for our new and returning students,” said John Fox, associate director of Residence Life. “This year we decided to make some changes in order to make the process as smooth as possible.”

CUPD, CU Football to square off in softball game

On Saturday, July 12, the University of Colorado Police Department will play softball against the University of Colorado football team for the first time in what is hoped to become an annual event. The game will start at 3 p.m. at the East Mapleton Ball Fields, located behind Whole Foods Market near Mapleton Avenue and 30th Street. Officers from other local agencies, such as the Boulder Police Department and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, have also been invited to play. The university community and the public are encouraged to attend.

The University of Colorado club triathlon, swimming and diving, and free style ski teams all repeated as national champions in 2014, while the CU club lacrosse team won its first. This past weekend, the CU men's ultimate team won the national championship, bringing the total to five national championsips for CU Collegiate Sports Club teams in 2014.

CU Athletics records highest-ever APR scores

The University of Colorado Academic Progress Rate (APR) report based on information for the four year period between 2009-10 and 2012-13 was released by the NCAA Wednesday with those of all other Division I schools, with CU reporting record news for all 16 of its intercollegiate athletic programs in that time frame. For the fourth consecutive year, the APR results are the highest in school history since the NCAA’s Academic Performance Program was introduced in 2003. CU-Boulder celebrates new athletics facility fundraising at Saturday’s spring football game

The University of Colorado Boulder plans to break ground May 12 on several new athletics facilities and upgrades to Folsom Field after a record-breaking year of private donations. In the past seven months, the CU Athletic Department has made significant progress on the fundraising goals and anticipates meeting that goal in the very near future.
