- As your dean of students, I’m excited to welcome you to campus for a new academic year! Whether you’re starting your first year or final year at CU Boulder, I have some advice to help you start out strong.
- I'm delighted to welcome you to our inspiring campus for the start of a new academic year. Much has changed since last semester, and we're excited for the opportunity to live, learn and work more fully together.
- We have researched and identified the traits of successful leaders across a variety of fields and developed an innovative curriculum to foster leaders for a changing world. CU Boulder’s Center for Leadership, established last year, combines 25 leadership programs from across the campus.
- CU officials are hailing last week’s Notice of Interpretation by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights explaining that it will enforce Title IX’s prohibition on discrimination based on sex to include discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
- On the news of his transition, I’d like to thank President Kennedy for his service to CU. His leadership during the pandemic required a unique combination of flexibility and understanding that will continue to serve us into the future.
- As the semester ends and we move ahead toward next year, investing in our faculty and staff––and in the experience they offer our students––is paramount.

- Starting this year, winter break will occur Dec. 25 to Jan. 1 every year to allow most faculty and staff to take a meaningful pause from work to focus on personal priorities.
