Why CU Boulder School of Education?
The School of Education offers a supportive community dedicated to preparing educators and leaders who are passionate about democracy, diversity, equity, and justice. We offer teacher licensure, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs. We pride ourselves on our innovative and engaging coursework, mentorship, meaningful learning experiences, and deep commitments to equity and justice, which are thoughtfully woven into all that we do. We aim to provide a supportive and inclusive community that inspires creativity and encourages all our students to fulfill their dreams of becoming influential educational leaders.

First-Year Events
The Discover Teaching Conference
Whether you want to be a K-12 classroom teacher or an activist or a community organizer, The Discover Teaching Conference will give you hands-on opportunities to explore our programs, meet our faculty and interact with students. We'll have a welcome and keynote from the Dean, discuss teacher education options at CU Boulder and hands-on workshops addressing critical issues in teaching today. We'll also have a student, alumni and current-teacher panel followed by lunch then an optional tour.
The CU Boulder Leadership Experience
You are warmly invited to join us for the annual CU Boulder School of Education Leadership Conference. This event is geared towards high school students and includes workshops that help students develop leadership and activism skills and allows them to experience the leadership programs available in the CU School of Education. We’ll also provide lunch, a student and alumni panel, an optional campus tour and will share application tips and more! The Leadership Conference is an all-day visit program hosted by the School of Education at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Graduate Events
School of Education Graduate Studies Preview Day (in-person)
Please join the School of Education for our Graduate Studies Preview Day on Saturday, Nov. 9. This program will be hosted in person and is open for all prospective Master's and PhD students. The program will include an overview of the application process and education program areas, breakout sessions with faculty by program area of interest, and a current graduate student panel for Q&A. Registration is required.

Online Teacher Leadership Program Info Session and Q&A (Virtual)
Teachers are invited to learn more about the Online Teacher Leadership program via virtual information sessions led by Faculty Director Emily Gleason. See how the program can support your personal, professional and community leadership development. Learn more about master and certificate pathways, courses, program format, faculty and applicability of the program to your teaching.

If you're interested in our undergraduate education majors in Elementary Education, Leadership & Community Engagement, Middle and High School Teaching or Education Studies, continue to the CU Boulder undergraduate application.
First-year students can apply directly to secondary (grades 7-12) teacher licensure program. Current CU Boulder undergraduates can add or change their current degree plan to include teacher licensure. Students who have a bachelor's degree may apply for secondary licensure through the MA+ or post-baccalaureate programs.
Intra-university transfer (IUT)
If you're interested in one of our nationally recognized graduate programs and are pursuing either a master's or doctoral degree, continue to the graduate application through the Graduate School.
