Our department is home to top-tier researchers, including many leading experts in their fields. We have expertise in air quality, biomedical, materials, mechanics of materials, micro/nanoscale, robotics and systems design, and thermo fluid sciences research. Our professors and instructors have varied career, research and teaching experiences. As a result, you will have the opportunity to enroll in a broad range of specialized technical electives that cover topics from bio-inspired robotics to flow visualization and beyond. In both core classes and electives, you will regularly engage in active learning.
