Career & Internship Search

Working while you're a student is one of the best ways to explore career paths, build skills and make yourself a marketable candidate for post-graduation positions. • Cover Letters & Resumes - Advise for resumes, cover letters, and interviewing is available through Engineering Career Services
  • Employment Postings - Employers can share postings with current students and alumni through Handshake and the mcen-prof listserv. Employers interested in posting to mcen-prof or students interested in subscribing can contact katherine.mcconnell@colorado.edu.
  • Recruiting Events - Mechanical engineering students have access to career fairs, tabling and information sessions hosted by Engineering Career Services. Information about upcoming events can be found in Handshake. Mechanical engineering students are also encouraged to participate in recruitment events hosted by other departments and student organizations including the Civil Environmental and Architectural Engineering Career Fair,  and .
  • Alumni Contacts - Networking is an important part of the internship and job search process. We provide opportunities throughout the year for current students to connect with alumni and are also happy to facilitate individual connections. Students and alumni are encouraged to sign up for a  account.
  • ProReady - The ProReady website serves as a centralized platform for many of the College of Engineering & Applied Science's efforts related to career development. It includes information about both career exploration and the job search process.
