The Student Recreation Center provides a variety of training opportunities for our members. Learn more about personal, partner and specialized training options available at The Rec.

How to Get Started
All new clients must purchase a fitness assessment and complete the Personal Training Registration Packet. You may send your completed registration packet via email to sarah.granberry@colorado.edu or drop off a printed copy at the Fit Well Suite at the Rec Center.
We recommend a minimum of 3 training sessions for first time clients.

Fitness Assessment
We provide a comprehensive fitness assessment using the MicroFit Health and Fitness System that provide a baseline of your current fitness level or track fitness improvements over time. The MicroFit fitness profile includes tests to determine resting heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and power.
*Fitness assessments are required for all new clients to help our trainers design safe, effective and individualized fitness programs to you meet your health and fitness goals.
Fitness assessments are also available as a stand alone service. Assessments can be purchased at Rec Center Guest Services for $25.

Personal Training
Our nationally certified personal trainers will provide motivation, education, guidance and individual instruction to help you improve your overall fitness and achieve your goals. We will also support you in maximizing your workout while minimizing your risk for injury.
- One Session: $42
- Three Sessions: $120 ($40/session)
- Six Sessions: $222 ($37/session)
- Twelve Sessions: $396 ($33/session)
Partner Training
Do you prefer working out with others? Try personal training with a friend, coworker, parent or partner! Our nationally certified personal trainers will provide motivation, education, guidance and individual instruction to help you improve your overall fitness and achieve your goals. We will also support you in maximizing your workout while minimizing your risk for injury.
- One Session: $57
- Three Sessions: $165 ($55/session)
- Six Sessions: $312 ($52/session)
Adaptive and Integrative Personal Training
Our Adaptive and Integrative Personal Training services make fitness accessible for all. We provide personalized training services in a supportive environment. Our trainers can work with your team of healthcare professionals (with proper consent) to customize your training program. Whether you are a client facing exercise barriers due to permanent or temporary disabilities, anxiety/stress or sedentary lifestyle, we can develop personalized programs to help you reach your fitness goals.
- One Session: $42
- Three Sessions: $120 ($40/session)
- Six Sessions: $222 ($37/session)
- Twelve Sessions: $396 ($33/session)
Private Instruction & Lessons
Get personalized attention for better results! Our private instruction and lessons are great for individuals who want to learn something new, immerse themselves in their practice or take their workout to the next level.
Private instruction is currently available for adult swim, adult ice skating and adult tennis.

Policies & Procedures
All sessions are one-hour in length unless noted otherwise.
Sessions are scheduled by appointment only and require a minimum of 48 hours advance notice. Register at the Rec Center Guest Services Desk and bring your receipt of purchase to the Wellness Suite to be matched with a trainer.
All personal training and private instruction sessions expire 1 year from date of purchase. Unused sessions are non-transferable and non-refundable.
